Clinical studies

Fine rose-coloured strands drifting across a dark graphite ground
PDRN

Does PDRN after microneedling smooth wrinkles around the eyes faster?

In a randomised split-face trial of 29 women, PDRN microneedling eased wrinkles around the eyes in 2 months; microneedling with saline took 6.

MatrixylClose-up of a network of fine teal fibres

Does palmitoyl pentapeptide-4 reduce fine lines and wrinkles?

In a split-face trial of 93 women, 3 ppm palmitoyl pentapeptide-4, the original Matrixyl®, reduced fine lines and wrinkles more than placebo from week 8.

GlutathioneA shallow pool of clear liquid on a champagne-gold surface

Can a 2% glutathione lotion brighten skin?

In a placebo-controlled split-face trial of 30 women, a 2% glutathione lotion brightened skin: pigment fell 10.7% in 10 weeks, against 3.1% with placebo.

ArgirelineA wave of light losing height as it runs across a dark field

Does Argireline® firm and tighten facial skin?

In a vehicle-controlled trial of 40 women, 10% Argireline (acetyl hexapeptide-3) lowered facial anisotropy, which rises with age, by about a third in 2 weeks.

Does a 10% Argireline® cream smooth forehead lines?

In a randomised trial of 24 women, forehead roughness fell 7.4% in 20 days with a 10% Argireline cream while it rose 4.3% on placebo. Read at source.

GHK-CuBlue copper peptide (GHK-Cu) crystals in a glass dish beside a flask and a beaker of blue solution and a microscope

Does a copper peptide serum reduce wrinkles?

Wrinkle volume fell 24.1% against 15.0% with the plain base, and 31.6% more than with a Matrixyl 3000 product, in an 8-week trial of 40 women.

Can PDRN outperform retinol on crow's feet?

In a split-face trial of 31 women, a 0.1% PDRN eye cream softened crow's feet by up to 23% in 28 days, more than three times as much as 0.1% retinol.

Does Argireline® soften crow's feet?

In a double-blind trial of 60 adults with crow's feet, nearly half of those on 10% Argireline were graded clearly smoother in 4 weeks, none on placebo.

Before you try it

These articles summarise published studies. They are not medical advice, and your own results may differ. Our products are cosmetics. As with anything new for your skin, try a small amount on your inner forearm for 24 hours first, and add one new product at a time. Stop using it if you notice redness, itching, burning or swelling. If irritation continues, or if you have a skin condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or use prescription skin treatments, please ask your doctor or pharmacist before starting.

PDRN is derived from salmon. If you have a fish allergy, please speak to your doctor before using it, and try a small amount on your forearm first.
